Agreement to Terms

By using the services of Serenity Movers NYC, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read these terms carefully before engaging our services.

Services Provided

Serenity Movers NYC provides professional moving and storage services including:

  • Residential and commercial moving
  • Local and long-distance moves
  • Packing and unpacking services
  • Storage solutions
  • Specialty item handling (pianos, artwork, antiques)
  • Wall installation services

Booking and Estimates

All estimates are provided free of charge and are based on the information you provide. Final charges may vary based on actual services performed, materials used, and time required. We reserve the right to adjust pricing if the scope of work differs from the initial estimate.

Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon completion of services unless other arrangements have been made
  • We accept cash, credit cards, and certified checks
  • A deposit may be required for large moves or long-distance relocations
  • Late payments may incur additional fees

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled move date to avoid cancellation fees. Deposits may be non-refundable depending on the timing of cancellation and services already rendered.

Customer Responsibilities

As a customer, you are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate information about items to be moved
  • Disclosing any hazardous materials or prohibited items
  • Ensuring access to both origin and destination locations
  • Securing parking permits if required
  • Being present or designating a representative during the move
  • Inspecting items before and after the move

Liability and Insurance

Serenity Movers NYC is fully licensed and insured. Basic liability coverage is included with all moves. Additional insurance options are available upon request. We are not liable for:

  • Items not listed on the inventory
  • Damage to items improperly packed by the customer
  • Pre-existing damage not disclosed before the move
  • Acts of God, natural disasters, or circumstances beyond our control
  • Damage to property due to structural issues or access constraints

Claims and Disputes

Any claims for loss or damage must be filed in writing within 30 days of the move completion. Claims should include photos, descriptions, and supporting documentation. We will investigate all claims promptly and work to resolve issues fairly.

Prohibited Items

We cannot transport the following items:

  • Hazardous materials (flammables, explosives, chemicals)
  • Perishable food items
  • Plants (for long-distance moves)
  • Pets
  • Illegal substances or items
  • Irreplaceable items (family heirlooms, important documents - these should be transported personally)

Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including weather conditions, natural disasters, labor disputes, or government actions.

Privacy

Your personal information is protected according to our Privacy Policy. We do not share your information with third parties except as necessary to provide our services.

Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New York County, New York.
